News / 8th Serbia World Music Festival starts tonight

Tonight, April 22nd, starts eighth Serbia World Music Festival. Choir Svartlamon Hardkor will perform with guests: Jovan Pavlovic (accordion), Danijela Veselinovic (trumpet).

Svartlamon Hardkor

Svartlamon Hardkor (hardcore / hard choir) was founded in Trondheim in 2004. 50 members of the choir are men of different ages (the youngest 20 and the oldest 60 years old) with a completely different life stories - workers in the factory, dentists, teachers, IT consultants, lawyers, but they are all punks and rockers. This choir has a great love for music and incredible energy on stage.

Musically they perform everything from punk and rock songs, to classic folk songs and spirituals. Even old drinking chants and Mozart's Requiem. But they perform the material in their own style ¬ and often with a use of humor.

For 12 years they have been working hard with a much¬needed renovation of Norwegian choir tradition. They are super happy with the results so far, although we acknowledge it will take some decades before the other choirs will follow our path. But hey, that's the thing with pioneering work; It takes time to become a prophet in his own land.

Svartlamon Hardkor consists of friendly people with big hearts. As a choire they are not quite what you have experienced before!

Guest artists on their concert are accordion maestro Jovan Pavlovic (Bengalo/ Tutti Serbia) and trumpet princess Danijela Veselinovic.

The concert starts at 19h in the Cultural Centre in Gornji Milanovac. Free admision.
