Due to a bad weather, Van Gogh's concert, has been moved to Saturday, May 07th, starting at 20h.

The concert will be held on the City Square in Gornji Milanovac. Admission is free for all visitors. Special guest on concert is Dejan Petrovic.

Tonight's program of the Serbia World Music Festival will be held at the Cultural Center. Originally concerts were planned at the city square. Once again, bad weather has changed the plans of the organizers.

Gipsy Aleksici are opening tonight's program with their concert at 19:15h. The concert of the band Bratsberg Longhorns is going to start at 20:30h. Bratsberg Longohorns are performing their own music as as well as blues, r&b, and sometimes even Irish music - interpreted in their personal way. Three members of the band have played for years with the legendary Jeremy Spencer from Fleetwood Mac.

Van Gogh's concert is postoponed. It is going to be held on Saturday May 7th, starting 20h, at the City Square in Gornji Milanovac..

Due to a bad weather, all concerts on the first day of Serbia World Music Festival will be held at the Cultural Center in Gornji Milanovac.

On Tuesday, May the third, at the cafe Modesty Blaise, we will continue socializing with participants of the festival. Norwegian bluesers Bratsberg Longhorns will perform starting 8pm. Longhorns will play their own music, R & B, as well as Irish music interpreted in an original way.

Serbia World Music Festival gives a great attention to its youngest visitors. The T-shirts with the inscription "Rastem sa festivalom" (growing up with the festival), for children, are now for sale. Shirts can be reserved at the stand in the center of Gornji Milanovac. Shirts can be purchased at the festival area during the festival for a 300 RSD.

White festival T-shirts for grown ups are also for sale. Shirts are made in following sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL. Price is 400 RSD.

The quantity of T-shirts is limited.

Kilden (i.e. The Source) is the name of the club, which is a meeting point for everybody regardless of economy or prior knowledge. The ambition is to create a positive personal development for people by taking part in a creative community.

Resiliens is the musical workshop at Kilden. Here people can make their dreams come true. Resiliens is a musical family where joy, freedom, learning and inspiration are important ingredients for mutual support, togetherness and good feelings. Resiliens orchestra consists of people with special needs proving that music is also a medicine and therapy. Their repertoire covers anything from their own material, through blues to pop music. This is what creates good musicians.

They proved it in two concets for two days in Gornji Milanovac. On the first evening of the 6th Serbia world music festival, on Tuesday 22nd of April 2014, at the Square of Knez Mihailo at the center of Gornji Milanovac, with its colorful repertoire Resiliens won hearts of festival audiences. Gornji Milanovac, welcomed them with enthusiasm.

On Thursday, 24th of April, Resilience held their second concert in the house of the Serbian-Norwegian friendship (Norway House). This concert, unlike the first one, was held in an intimate and very friendly atmosphere, since the hall of Norwegian house can accommodate about 150 visitors. Resilience orchestra was briliant. In addition to the common repertoire, each member of the orchestra performed a song of their choice. There was joy and laughter and tears, because their music woke sincere emotions. The concert was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Gornji Milanovac Mr. Miroslav Milovanovic, director of the Cultural Center of Gornji Milanovac Dragan Arsic, Chairman of festival board, Mr. Olav Goberg, Director of the festival, Slobodan Bozovic, as well as the director of a school for children with disabilities within the Resiliens program in Norway. Suitable gifts were exchanged on that occasion.

On Friday the 5th of July, on the first night of Serbia World Music Festival in 2013, in addition to Nottoden Blues band from Norway, there was also performance of the Norwegian band Tirsdagsbandet. Their half-hour concert elicited sympathy and already, after the first tones of their music, they won the hearts of audience. About 3,000 festival visitors welcomed their performance with thunderous applause.

Immediately after them, Notodden blues band from Norway took the stage. An outstanding performance of Norwegians, with excellent lighting and the overall scene, thrilled the, at first restrained audience. A concert to remember. Norwegian Ambassador in Serbia Nils Ragnar Kamsvag, chairman of the festival, Olav Goberg, director of the Tourist organization of Gornji Milanovac, Mira Mirkovic and festival director, Slobodan Bozovic officially opened the festival after these concerts.

The concert of Tirsdagsbandet was a result of cooperation between Serbia World Music Festival and the project "Parents of children with disabilities". Members of the Tirsdagsbandet have these problems, and this performance was special because they announced that this was their last performance outside of Norway.

Members of the Tirsdagsbandet have visited the Association of Visually Impaired Persons in Gornji Milanovac during their stay at the festival. After the visit, the mayor of Gornji Milanovac, Mr. Milisav Mirkovic held a reception for members of the band in the building of Municipality of Gornji Milanovac and thanked them for joining the Serbia World Music Festival. On that occasion, the band members exchanged the suitable gifts with Mayor.

Because of bad weather conditions announced for Wednesday April 23rd, concert of Dejan Petrovic and Big Band will be held on Tuesday April 22nd in Gornji Milanovac, at 22:00h.

The second day of Serbia World Music Festival in Takovo unfortunately had to be canceled due to bad weather. Heavy rain, accompanied by a wind, which fell yesterday, soaked energy counters and power connections. Although the stage was covered, the wind redirected rain on to the stage, so during tone rehearsals water soaked LED screen and other equipment on stage.

On Monday 8th July, at 21:00h, there will be a concert by Haris Dzinovic. Tickets sold in advance are valid for the concert. Concerts of bands "Vrelo" and "Vladimir Stankovic quintet" will not be held.

We are sorry to inform you that due to a bad weather conditions, tonight's program of the festival is cancelled.

For the fifth time, Takovo will be the stage of Serbia World Music Festival. Everything is ready for tonight's concerts.

The festival starts at 19:00h by a performance of Gipsy Aleksici and KUD "Šumadija" orchestra. At 20:00h Tirsdagsbandet (Norway) will get on the stage. Their concert is followed by Notodden Blues Band (Norway) at 20:30h. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 21:30h, and after, at 21:45h, guests of the festival's first night, group "Legende" (Legends) will perform.

Performance of the Norwegian band Tirsdagsbandet, that we'll have a chance to listen to, is the result of cooperation between two projects, ours and the project "Parents of children with disabilities." Members of the band Tirsdagsbandet also have these disabilities. It will be interesting to hear them, because they announced that this is their last appearance outside of Norway.

Festival will be officially open by the Norwegian Ambassador in Serbia, Mr. Nils Ragnar Kamsvag, as well as chairman of the board of the "Serbian festival," Mr. Olav Goberg and representatives of the Municipality and the Tourist Organization of Gornji Milanovac.

Great number of volunteers from the association "GM Optimist", JKP Gornji Milanovac, as well as numerous security guards involved in the festival parking service, will help us in the organization of the festival . High demand stage production will be realized by a "Stage System" company from Gornji Milanovac.

Tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the festival area. Seats are provided for the guests of the festival, the elderly and people with disabilities. Food and drinks can be bought at the festival area.

LED display is set in the center of Gornji Milanovac. In front of it is stand where you can get the flyers and other promotional material, buy festival tickets and T-shirts. Volunteers of GM Optimist are helping in festival preparations. Festival vehicle is clearly marked and is circulating all over city.

Unlike previous years, this year's festival will be held on the first weekend of July, 5-6^th July 2013.

Preparations for the Festival are in progress, drafts of the program and budget are created, performers are contacted, planing of additional activities has started.

Like previous years, beside association "Srpski festival", in organization of the festival are involved: Municipality of Gornji Milanovac with its institutions and agencies, the Tourist Organization of Gornji Milanovac, companies, and a large number of volunteers and friends of the festival.

The fourth Serbia World Music Festival ended. For two days over 7,000 people visited festival. We had visitors from almost all parts of Europe: Stuttgart, Oslo, London, Moscow and Vienna.

The ideal weather, quality performers, good mood and satisfied visitors were the highlights of the past weekend.

On the second day of the festival as a part of matinee, performed the band Teatar dur. Their covers of famous national and international hits "warmed" festival audience. After them Norwegian band Resjemheia held their concert.

After inspiring Norwegians, Van Gogh took the stage and raised atmosphere. Fantastic music, performers and audience in the mood, beautiful, acoustic environment of Takovo, made this concert a memorable. That was beautiful way to close this year's festival program.

The organization of the festival functioned without a single mistake. The volunteers of "GM Optimist" organization and members of Karate club "Do Kan" did a perfect job.

We wish to thank to all people who took place in the third Serbia World Music Festival and contributed to its quality organization and great realization.

We would like to thank to our volunteers who, as in previous years, helped us to organize Serbia World Music Festival.

Special thank to volunteers of "GM Optimist" organization for their hard work which improved quality of festival. Before the start of the festival they were distributing flyers and other promotional materials, they helped us in building festival area. During the festival they helped in organizing parking lot, were at the stand where visitors could buy festival T-shirts and get festival information,cleaned festival area. At the end of first and second evening, thanks to the "optimists", just ten minutes after the festival program finished, there was not a single piece of paper in festival area .

We would also like to thank to the members of Karate club "Do Kan" from Gornji Milanovac who performed monitorial duties, securing festival area, controled entry and helped in many other activities.

The first day of Serbia World Music Festival ended. Beautiful environment of Takovo, good weather, quality music were the reason why all visitors enjoyed first day of the festival.

The band Gipsy Aleksići opened this years festival, follwed by the concert of French band La Bande a Balk. After that KUD Šumadija got up on stage, and around 20:30h band Odjila held their concert. Around 22:00h Mayor of Gornji Milanovac Milisav Mirkovic and chairman of the festival board Olav Goberg officially opened the festival.

Soon after that Zvonko Bogdan took the stage and the hearts of festival audience. Program was finished by Slovenian folk ensemble.

Over 3,000 people visited the festival. We had visitors from almost all parts of Europe: Stuttgart, Oslo, London, Moscow and Vienna.

On the second day of the festival Teatar dur, Resjemheia and Van Gogh will perform.

It is not allowed to bring food and drink in festival area. There will be stands with drink and fast food "Easy" from Gornji Milanovac.

Invite all you know and come to make new friends tonight in Takovo.

La Bande a Balk is a group founded in 2008. Their music consists of melodies from Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, Macedonia ...

On Sunday August the 5^th, starting at 19:00h, as a part of matinee, group Teatar dur from Serbia will perform.

For the past two years, non-governmental organization "GM Optimist" is incharged for volunteer work in Serbia World Music Festival.

This is an ideal opportunity to participate in the organization of a greate music event and to enjoy together with us and make new friends. Volunteers will be involved in various segments of the event: parking organization, backstage, arranging of festival area, acceptance of persons with disabilities and guidance to the place reserved for them, information desk, assisting in promotional activities and more.

The third Serbia World Music Festival is over. Over 12 thousand people visited festival this year. The ideal weather, a good visit, quality performers, good mood and happy visitors were the highlights of the past weekend.

The organization of the festival functioned without a single mistake. The members of traffic police and volunteers of GM-Optimist organization did a perfect job.
